Phantom Lake near Squamish is a dazzling, emerald green hanging lake. At one end water feeds into the lake from the nearby glaciers of Mt Jimmy Jimmy and Tzoonie Mountain, while at the other it escapes via a towering cascading waterfall. On the way there (and back) you’ll fly shoulder-to-shoulder with million year-old peaks, over ancient valleys, and through a landscape worthy of a National Geographic documentary.
After flying through the coast mountains you’ll land on the rich turquoise waters of Phantom Lake. Your pilot will taxi you to the shore where you can enjoy taking photos, swimming, or just relaxing in solitude. Bring your own picnic for a little tasty treat or a memorable alpine lunch. This tour is one of the most amazing things to do in Squamish in summer.
Our pilots are passionate about British Columbia, Squamish, Whistler, Vancouver and the Sea To Sky Corridor. They love sharing what they know about the region’s legendary geology and history so we outfitted every seat with a two-way headset and microphone. Think of us like your best friend taking you on a road trip to all their favourite places. Listen to your pilot tell stories as you fly, ask questions about features and landmarks, or simply sit back and enjoy the view.
All flights seat up to four people (three guests and one pilot).
Book a flight for two people and you have the option to buy the third seat at a reduced rate to reserve the aircraft exclusively for you. This is one of our most popular options. Perfect if you’re buying the Phantom Lake by Seaplane as a gift for a birthday or special occasion.
Suspended above a waterfall at 4000ft, Phantom Lake is an almost unbelievable sight. A hanging sub-alpine lake overlooked by the impressive Mt Tzooniem, Mt Jimmy Jimmy and glaciers. This sheltered wild haven has a soft sandy beach at the north end and can only be accessed by seaplane.
Mt Jimmy Jimmy is a vast glaciated mountain at the north end of Phantom Lake near Squamish, ask your pilot to point it out on the flight in. Named for Chief Jimmy Jimmy (native name Swahsh), a leader of the Squamish Nation who had traplines in the foothills of the mountain. The name was officially adopted in 1957.
