Memories for a lifetime, right at the start of the most exciting new chapter in life!
You’ve found the love of your life. You have the perfect ring and now you just need a location as wild and vibrant as the love you share.
Engagement shoots should be natural and focused on three important things – you as a couple, your individual personalities and your love. Whether you’re feeling casual or formal, outdoorsy or dramatic, Phantom Lake is a match made in heaven for couples who love adventure.
“I have a strong love for the in-between moments. Incorporating true expressions and the environment are also very important to me when capturing any occasion. There is a fine balance to being unintrusive and also being very present, this is what I strive to achieve.” – Darby, Photographer

To ease the pressure of the day you’ll collaborate with your seasoned wedding and engagement photographer, Ian Harland or Darby Magill, to create and capture every special moment, naturally. Engagement stories are shared with family and friends for years to come. So lean into the romance, relax and let us help you plan an unforgettable, and most importantly, surprise proposal.
Phantom Lake near Squamish is a picturesque emerald green hanging lake. At the north end meltwater flows into the lake from the nearby glacier of Tzoonie Mountain, while at the south end escaping via a towering cascading waterfall. On the way there and back you’ll wind through plunging river valleys and explore ancient peaks and lakes in landscape worthy of a National Geographic documentary.
Flying in small planes is an intimate experience. You can feel the air and clouds floating by, hear the gasps of surprise and excitement from your friends or the splashing of water on the floats. It’s the creation of, and presence in, these small moments that deepens connections between each other and nature. You never have to worry about picking a good seat ahead of time. No matter where you are in our planes you're guaranteed to have a first-class experience.
